![]() So you cannot take the entire number of Fortnite and minus it from the PC players on EGS. The 14.9 Million peak for Fortnite is from all platforms (PC + Console), and not just consoles. The 68 Million is for PC players MAU only through EGS. What kind of math are you using, every bit of that is wrong.Įpic Games Store got $820 million, $355 Million of that is from third party sales, so $465 million on Epic's own games for the PC, that is not 82%, that is 57% for first party and 43% from third party. Nothing wrong with it but it is interesting how psychologically someone feels useful when they hand money to a gaming company or a platform. I think the general free loader game collector is a rare breed, not many exist, by steams own admission, i see a lot of steam users proud of the fact they are buying game, and i see alot of mobile users also proud of the same fact.Īnother words most people think its cool to spend money on these platforms, as if they are some how tricked into it and tricked so well it becomes the emotional high or provides them with some means of worth-fullness or self-worth. on the other hand 15 million pc users is sorta questionable because even today many people including younger people choose consoles and phones over Pc's I think those numbers are actuallly small if we compare what sony and xbox claims in sale along side nintendo and over all fact that 1 outta 3 people in the world have a cell phone or tablet.ġ5 million is not a large number. There are many more console and android / iphone users also console and phone users are much quicker to spend cause its easy to do, vs pc spending via steam where you have to verify bank accounts and so forth. The only thing is that epic does have fortnite on switch, xbox, ps4 android and iphone devices including pc, where as steam only has csgo / csgo2 on pc In fact they cost Epic money, hence the layoffs and divesture, and the fact that the free game carnival ride will come to an eventual end, and there's going to be a lot of very sad broke kids. The former peaked in 2019 and continues to slowly decline year on year. ![]() In short, you have two kinds of Epic users Fortnite players, and freeloaders. ![]() This means that 78% of Epic users account for just 18% of Epic revenue. The most recent peak player count for Fortnite is 14,898,892, so this means about 22% of Epic users are just there to play Fortnite. Epic touts 68 million monthly active users. On the flip side, if we look at Epic's stats, 82% of revenue came from Epic's own games. Last I checked a majority meant more than half, so Valve created games would still be about 34% of current players short of a "majority". I'm still struggling to figure out how 16% of current players somehow equals out to a majority. Ursprünglich geschrieben von SuperGamer:It would be interesting to see epic games take on it all if they had a epic games forum, unfortunately browser forums seem to be something from past generations, I believe epic does have a discord channel, i would assume they talk badly about steam there.Įpic fans seem to enjoy talking badly about Steam here.
